Please join us for a free community presentation on Nutrition. Nutrition plays a large role in the development of diabetes as well as the treatment. In this presentation you will learn how food influences blood sugar levels, identify a healthy eating pattern for those with diabetes, and learn how to put together meals that will support blood glucose control. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session to get answers to the questions you have about food and diabetes in your life. This presentation will be with Mallory Spendlove, RDN, CD.
Mallory is a Registered Dietitian and Project Coordinator for the Southwest Utah Public Health Department working on Diabetes and Heart Disease prevention. She is professionally trained in diabetes and heart disease education. She has presented nearly 100 times on the topic of self-improvement and nutrition to a wide range of audiences. Her clinical experience includes providing one-on-one and group nutritional consultations in hospital, community, and long-term care settings.
Mallory recently relocated to Springdale, Utah to pursue her passion to help people develop a healthy relationship with food to promote health and prevent disease. She received her degree in Dietetics from Utah State University.
