CLEAN AIR ACT REPORT VIOLATION

The Utah Indoor Clean Air Act (UICAA) is intended to protect community members from the dangers of secondhand smoke exposure. In Utah, it is illegal to smoke inside a public building or within 25 feet of a doorway, window, or air intake– even if there is a smoking receptacle within the restricted area. This includes electronic cigarettes and other vapor products.

What happens after report is submitted?

Location of the violation will be visited by our staff within three business days.

While we make every effort to use education as the primary tool to correct violations, failure to meet requirements can result in monetary penalties to businesses, agencies, organizations, or individuals. Complaints received are kept confidential.
