Screening

Calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI)

BMI is a number calculated from a person’s weight and height. BMI provides a fairly reliable indicator of body fatness for most people and is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems, such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

Take the Prediabetes Risk Test

Prediabetes means your blood glucose (sugar) is higher than normal, but not yet diabetes. Diabetes is a serious disease that can cause heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney failure, or loss of feet or legs. Type 2 diabetes can be delayed or prevented in people with prediabetes through lifestyle changes. Take the prediabetes survey to learn if you are at risk for prediabetes.

Take the next step

Make an appointment to talk to your healthcare provider about steps you can take to a healthier lifestyle. You can also visit your local Southwest Utah Public Health Department to receive low cost health screenings. These screenings include the following:

  • A1C (diabetes screening)
  • Blood Glucose
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Blood Pressure
  • Lipid Panel (cholesterol and triglycerides)
  • Weight

No appointment necessary.
