Education

You’re invited!

The Southwest Utah Public Health Department is pleased to offer 3 new opportunities for health education to help you develop healthier habits and to become a healthier YOU.

Online Course

The online course will help you take important steps to a healthier lifestyle. It is a self-paced course; however, participants are encouraged to complete one step per week to achieve the most benefit. Each step takes about 30 minutes to complete.

This course outlines 10 simple steps to help you reach your healthier YOU goals. The steps are accompanied by educational short readings, engaging videos, and action steps. In addition, the course offers participant support from the course instructor and a registered dietitian. This support can be through email, phone, text, and/or in-person to offer guidance and encouragement.

After completing the course you will be eligible for a free A1C test. The A1C test involves a simple finger prick. You will get your results within a few minutes, placing you in the range of normal, prediabetic, or diabetic. You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Washington, Iron, Kane, Garfield, or Beaver County.

Schedule: Anytime, Self-Paced

Location: Online

Cost: Free
