The focus of the summit is to fill knowledge gaps identified in recent exercises with the following objectives:
- Strengthen and update rural emergency plans
- Understand how to work together for quick and effective response to an emergency
- Improve preparedness for your agency, group, organization, and family
- Understand your individual role in rural emergency response, enabling you to be part of the solution and not part of the problem
