Learn About Clinical Services:

Birth & Death Certificates

Birth and death records are filed according to the state where the event occurred, therefore you will need to apply through the applicable state. If your event occurred in Utah, you may apply for a certified copy through any Utah Public Health Department.

Immunizations / Vaccines

Our clinics focus on vaccine-preventable diseases for children to adults. Vaccines protect against diseases and work in different ways, but every vaccine helps the body’s immune system learn how to fight germs. It typically takes a few weeks for protection to develop after vaccination, but that protection can last a lifetime. Some vaccines, such as those for tetanus or seasonal flu, require occasional boosters to maintain the body’s defenses.

International Travel

We administer travel vaccines and provide expert travel advice including a pre-travel counseling session. Vaccines can help reduce concerns about needing health care in a foreign country. Out of 30 million Americans who travel abroad each year, approximately 8 million will be traveling to lesser-developed countries where the incidence of tropical and infectious diseases is high. Almost 2 million U.S. travelers are exposed to malaria each year which can have life-threatening risks.

Prediabetes / Diabetes

There are 652,000 people in Utah, 30.1% of the adult population, who have prediabetes with blood glucose levels that are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. 1 in 3 American adults have prediabetes, and over 80% of those do not know they have it.

    Screening & Labs

Screenings help find problems early on, when they may be easier to treat. Getting recommended screenings is one of the most important things you can do for your health. At the Public Health Department, we provide low-cost health screening.
